Terms & Conditions
Bookings
All bookings should be made directly through your instructor, Carla Cuthbert-Brown (07779
253599, or, ccbpilates@gmail.com). Payment should be made in advance of the term/half term
of classes, or on or before the day your private session takes place, preferably via bank transfer.
Payment details will be provided by your instructor.
Please ensure you have filled out and returned to your instructor an Enrolment & Health Form
https://forms.gle/YzpmpxspNmWvE1gw5 before starting your course or private session.
Cancellations
Please advise your instructor if you are unable to attend a class. With reasonable advance
notice, a catch up session may be agreed on another day/time where possible, within the same
term (but not guaranteed). Fees are non refundable for classes.
Catch up classes may be taken on another day/time if there is space available and if
pre-organised with the instructor. Reformer clients may take a catch up in a Mat class (or
online). It may be possible for a Mat client to take a catch up in a Reformer class only if they
have prior experience of Reformer and they have missed multiple sessions.
A minimum 24 hour cancellation notice is required for all private sessions to entitle you to a full
refund, otherwise a 50% cancellation fee will be charged and added to your next booking. No
shows or same day/last minute cancellations incur the full fee. Private Duet appointments where
only one attendee is present and <24hrs notice provided will be charged at full cost, and split
between participants; if >24hrs notice will be charged at a 1:1 fee or option to cancel.
Your instructor will notify you of any session cancellations or teacher substitutes as soon as
possible. However, there may be times when the decision to cancel is unavoidably made at
short notice. In this case, your cancelled session will either be credited to your next session, or
a full refund will be made if this is not possible.
Personal Health & Safety
Please ensure you have filled out and returned to your instructor an Enrolment & Health Form
https://forms.gle/YzpmpxspNmWvE1gw5 before starting your course or private session.
The information given in the enrolment form will be kept completely private and confidential.
Please inform your instructor of any changes regarding any aspect of your circumstances when
they arise, ensuring you speak to your instructor before the session begins so that appropriate
modifications can be put in place.
Pilates (Matwork, Reformer & Cadillac) exercises are very safe, however, as with all forms of
physical exercise, it is prudent to consult your doctor before starting classes if you have any
concerns. The classes are not a substitute for medical counselling or treatment. If you have any
doubts about the suitability of the exercises, you should refer back to your medical practitioner.
You may be asked to attend a private assessment with an instructor prior to the start of your
course, depending on your personal circumstances.
It is advisable to seek approval from your doctor if you believe you are pregnant, before
participating in your Pilates session. It is also important to wait until six weeks post birth before
resuming exercise. Please ask at your six week check up or check with your medical
practitioner.
‘CCB Pilates’ cannot take liability and does not take responsibility for condition or upkeep of any
equipment used during a private session if equipment is owned/provided by the client.
Your instructor cannot accept liability for personal injury related to participation in a session if:
your doctor has, on health grounds, advised you against such exercise; you fail to observe
instructions on safety or technique, or if such injury is caused by the negligence of another
participant in a group session.
STOP exercising immediately if you experience chest pain including pain in the neck, jaw and
travelling down the arm or between the shoulder blades; if you feel dizzy/lightheaded or faint,
have difficulty breathing or have musculoskeletal discomfort or pain.
Please remain hydrated and bring your own bottle of water to your session, ensure you start
your session well hydrated and that you have eaten appropriately before exercise. Don’t ignore
signals of fatigue, discomfort or pain. Cross train with other forms of exercise and have a rest
day to reduce overtraining risk. Injuries require rest; never work through pain.
Exercising in hot weather can put additional strain on the body and can result in heatstroke.
Symptoms include irritability, general discomfort, weakness, headache, nausea and cramp.
Ensure you devote more time to warming up and stretching during cold weather periods to avoid
injury and wear extra layers.
Please reschedule your session if you are feeling unwell, test positive or are experiencing any of
the COVID 19 or Flu symptoms on the day of your session. Because movement-based health
practices may involve prolonged and close physical contact, there may be an elevated risk of
disease transmission.
I agree to release my instructor/CCB Pilates and Studio One and all its employees, contractors,
vendors, officers, or agents from any and all claims of liability regarding exposure to or
contraction of the COVID-19 virus.
On-Site, Safety & Security
Vehicles and contents are parked at the Studio premises entirely at owner’s risk. Please ensure
you have parked between the plant pots and have only taken up one car parking space. Please
observe the ‘no parking’ and ‘instructor parking’ signs and do not park beyond the cattle grid.
On leaving the Studio, please give way to traffic coming up to the Studio via Hayden Lane, there
is also a pull in space half way down the lane. This is to ease congestion by the cottages and
leave clear access from the main road.
Sarah Palmer, acting as The Responsible Person with regard to Fire Regulations – The
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FS0) has carried out a risk assessment and issued
a guide with instructions as to what to do in the event of fire. Smoke alarms are fitted throughout
the building together with fire extinguishers and fire blankets. In the event of an alarm or
shouted warning, please follow the ‘Fire Exit’ signs. Do not stop to pick up your belongings; all
instructors and therapists are aware of the fire drill procedure.
Please contact your instructor if you have any concerns regarding your session, the studio or
Equipment.
